In this laboratory course we will cover several topics in the field of human learning and cognition. The topics will cover immediate memory span, verbal learning and memory, recognition memory and false/implanted memories. The major emphasis of this course will be on actual "hands-on" laboratory experience related to these four topics. The course will involve designing and carrying out four specific experiments and then analyzing the results. In addition, the course will focus on writing up the results of each of the four experiments according to the standard journal format used to communicate scientific information in the field of cognitive psychology.
